Peer Charging, the consumer brand of Charge Connect Africa Ltd, is a peer-to-peer EV charging marketplace connecting EV drivers with private and commercial charger hosts. Drivers can discover, book and pay for nearby charging, while hosts monetise underutilised chargers. We also provide charger financing to accelerate new charger deployment.
Mission:
To power Africa’s clean mobility future by making EV charging more accessible, affordable, distributed and scalable starting in Nigeria and expanding across Africa.
Problem we solve:
Africa’s EV adoption is constrained by insufficient, expensive and geographically concentrated charging infrastructure. Traditional charging networks require significant capital to build and operate every charging location, while many existing chargers in homes, offices, hotels, estates and businesses remain underutilised.
Peer Charging unlocks this distributed capacity, connecting it to EV drivers and creating new revenue opportunities for charger owners. More chargers improve EV accessibility, while more EV drivers increase charger utilisation creating a scalable two-sided network effect.
